Summit Heating & Air LLC is committed to making this website usable for as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technology. We treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how the site is built and maintained, not a one-time task.

Conformance target

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA (the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, motor, auditory, and cognitive differences.

Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML. Pages are built from real headings, lists, landmarks, and native controls so their structure is conveyed to assistive technology.
  • Keyboard operability. Every interactive element — navigation, the menu, the share menu, the FAQ, and the contact form — can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator at each stop.
  • Colour contrast. Text and interface colours are chosen to meet the WCAG AA contrast minimums in both light and dark themes.
  • Reduced motion. Animations are subtle and enter-only, and are disabled entirely for visitors whose system requests reduced motion.
  • Works without JavaScript. Navigation, the FAQ, and the contact form remain fully usable when scripting is unavailable.
  • Text alternatives. Meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.

Ongoing testing

Accessibility is checked with automated tooling (axe-core across every page) and with keyboard and screen-reader spot checks. Automated tests catch only part of the picture, so we also rely on manual review — and on feedback from people who use the site.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us — reports directly help us prioritise fixes.
